HLS FUND
Welcome to the Higher Level Skills Capacity Fund
A regional project, funded by One North East. The aim of the Fund is to improve the quality, quantity and relevance of higher level skills to meet the specific needs of employers in the nine RES priority sectors.
These priority sectors are:
- Automotive
- Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals
- Defence and Marine
- Energy
- Commercial and Creative
- Health and Social Care
- Tourism and Hospitality
- Food and Drink
- Knowledge Intensive Business Services
New Skills Consulting is responsible for managing and monitoring the Fund. Our role is to work closely with project managers and their delivery partners to provide support and guidance and ensure that projects deliver the required results.

Our role is fully explained in the project guidance pack, which also details the project management process and includes a description of the approved NTF outputs and a project management timetable. From this site you can also download all relevant project management and monitoring forms.

- PM1: Template to confirm project details for inclusion in the FAL e.g. forecast spend, outputs, outcomes and delivery milestones. This template will also be used to re-profile project spend, outputs, outcomes, and milestones if required.
- PEV: Reporting format to ensure all engagement visits are consistent.

- PM4M: Claim form to gather monthly financial and output data to trigger payment of grant.
- PM4Q: Claim form to gather quarterly financial and output data to trigger payment of grant.
