New Skills Consulting has been recognised among the cream of North East business after being named a finalist in the Tyneside and Northumberland heat of the North East Business Awards.

We were ranked among the top three companies for the hotly contested Small Business Award at what is viewed as the region's most prestigious and coveted business awards competition.

Beating off competition from dozens of entrants, we were recognised for our continued growth over the past five years including a year on year increase in headcount, turnover and profitability.  Other areas highlighted in our submission were our impact, alongside clients, on the economic development of the region, our commitment to staff development and the high levels of customer service demonstrated throughout our work.

Our recognition at the awards, which is organised by The Journal and Evening Gazette, marks a successful year which has seen us secure a number of prestigious new contracts including the One North East STEM Programme Coordination in collaboration with the KSA Partnership.

The Small Business Award was just one of 13 award categories at the black tie awards ceremony which took place at the Gosforth Park Marriott in Newcastle.  We were delighted to be recognised by the judging panel and enjoyed the opportunity to get together and celebrate our achievements and to rub shoulders with some of the most successful businesses in the North East.  

Our awards trophy has now taken pride of place in the office!
