We offer services in all aspects of the programme management process, from initial research and feasibility, to project and programme development, to funding and implementation, through to monitoring and evaluation. This means we can provide the full range of expertise and support you need to deliver your projects and services.
What we do
We create and facilitate workshops and events, enabling groups of partners and colleagues to share information, generate ideas and identify solutions to common challenges. We work with groups of all sizes, from small workshops to large-scale consultation events with over 100 delegates.
Our workshop and event facilitation services include:
- Initial planning and ideas generation
- Designing engaging and stimulating workshop activities
- Delegate invitations and briefing
- Group facilitation
- Reporting on the outcomes
How can we help you?
A well designed workshop can provide space and time for you and your partners, away from the day-to-day pressures of the job, to share information and think through solutions to your common challenges. Our independent facilitators will energise the group, bringing everyone together with a clear purpose and shared goal in mind. By building consensus, challenging constructively and exploring areas of ambiguity, we will create clarity and support the group to reach a positive outcome.

Project: Procurement Workshop
Client: South Tyneside Council
Each year the Council’s Economic Development Team invests more than £1 million in procuring and contracting for the delivery of employment support services to help local unemployed people into work. It is vital that this process delivers value for money and the best quality services available, and the Council wanted to improve its performance in this area. We designed and delivered two training workshops, to help the team analyse current challenges in the procurement process and improve their skills in writing tender specifications and managing contracts. We supported the team in developing a new business process, which is now being used to guide the procurement of all of the Council’s employment support contracts.
Project: Skills and Employability Contracting Events
Client: LSC North East and VONNE
In recent years voluntary and community sector organisations have taken a much greater role in the delivery of employability services, and have begun bidding to deliver large-scale employment and skills contracts. Working with the Voluntary Organisations Network North East (VONNE), we organised and facilitated two major consultation events involving more than 100 VCS organisations, exploring how they could establish a consortium of providers capable of bidding jointly to win and deliver contracts. We also facilitated a task and finish group of VCS providers, helping them to develop a business plan for a new bidding consortium under the title ‘Contracts Matter’. As a result, the consortium secured a large grant to set up a new company to manage its work.
Project: Evaluation Design Workshop
Client: Skills North East and ONE North East
The Regional Employability Framework provides a single network of support for individuals and employers in the North East, aimed at reducing levels of worklessness, and Skills North East is responsible for its effective implementation. The Skills North East partners identified that a more consistent approach to evaluation could help to ensure that all services are delivered in line with REF requirements. We facilitated a half day workshop involving One North East, LSC North East, City Region Partnerships, local authorities and others to help them develop and design a new evaluation framework built around REF principles. We also helped the group to develop a ‘how to guide’ for partners, explaining how to implement the new evaluation framework in practice. The approach is being rolled out across the North East as the basis for evaluating all employment and skills projects.
